A warm welcome to Greenhills Primary School and Nursery Class website.

At Greenhills Primary we aim to create a happy, safe and stimulating learning environment, providing education of the highest quality. Developing the whole child is important to us. We foster academic and aesthetic development, moral and social development and loyalty to both school and community.

We hope to work in partnership with you in the important task of developing your child to his/her full potential. We are keen to have your fullest support in encouraging your child to work hard and behave well. If you are concerned about your child please come and tell us.
Greenhills is a vibrant, dynamic environment, with many activities organised throughout the year. We look forward to you becoming involved in activities and events within the school.

Christmas Toys

EK community food bank will be at Calderwood Baptist Church on a Wednesday.  They are providing new toys at wholesale prices between now and 13th December and it is open to everyone.

Strike Action - Home Learning (25/9/23)

Due to strike action, Greenhills Primary School and Nursery Class will be closed from Tuesday 26th September 2023 until Thursday 28th September.  The school will re-open on Friday 29th September 2023.

On Thursday 21st September 2023, all pupils were issued Home Learning packs to complete learning at home.  Below is a copy of the Home Learning activities sent out for each class.

Parent Portal 

If your child is in Primary 1-7, please ensure you have signed up for Parent Portal.  If there are any issues, please contact the school office for assistance.

Nursery pupils will receive information and updates via email, our twitter feed and the school website.

We are no longer using our School App.


Our Parent Council meets on the last Monday of each month at 7pm in the school.  If you are interested in supporting the Parent Council, please come along and find out more!

Applying for a Nursery Place

Applying for an early learning and childcare (nursery) place
If your child has their 3rd birthday in the period between 1 March and 28 Feb in the coming year you should complete an application by the end of February. If your child is already three and needs a nursery place you should apply as soon as possible.
