In order to embed Rights Based Learning in the culture, systems and practice of the school, the school rules have been replaced with charters. These promote positive relationships and a climate of respect, where everyone is treated with dignity.
A school charter has been created and displayed around the school. This provides positive and high expectations of pupil behaviour. Those pupils who demonstrate these behaviours will be rewarded with house tokens. All staff should refer to the school charter and values when discussing behaviour with a pupil.
Classes will also create their own classroom charter at the start of the year and a charter will be created for the dinner hall and playground.
